NDP accomplishments for everyday Canadians Spring Session 39th Parliament

Throughout the spring session Stephen Harper’s Conservatives demonstrated time and time again they can’t be trusted to make life affordable for middle class and working families.

In the face of a weak and ineffective leadership from the Stéphane Dion, Jack Layton stood up to Stephen Harper and put the priorities of average Canadians first – ending gas price gouging and unfair ATM fees, creating a national child care program, ensuring access to prescription drugs, and cleaning the air we breathe.

The NDP is setting the agenda in Parliament by standing up for fairness for today’s families.
