The director of Channel 4 receives death threats for broadcasting a documentary on gay Muslims, by Iba Bouramine




Muslim leaders have attacked Channel 4 for a television documentary that shows how the Muslim gays and lesbians suffer under Islamic law.

Its director has received death threats because homosexuality is forbidden by the Koran.

The leaders of the station are now preparing for a backlash. The digital channel More 4 will broadcast A Jihad For Love tonight.

The program lifts the lid on the struggle of gays and lesbians Muslims face with their faith and sexuality.

The documentary shows not only Muslims dare gay kiss, hold hands and discuss marriage, but he speaks also reports on the atrocious suffering they suffer under Islamic law.

And it reveals death threats and punishments that are gays in these countries, including Egypt and Iran.

Indian filmmaker Parvez Sharma, who spent six years making the documentary, revealed: "I've had death threats on my blog after this film. Some countries have even banned. " Islamic leaders in the United Kingdom have attacked the documentary, saying it would offend, provoke anger and shock.
