Canada is hosting an organization that glorifies jihad and recruiting for terrorist organizations, by Iba Bouramine

All these years of cultural relativism, of accommodation and political correctness on radical Islam Canadian bear fruit. By dint of imagining that all the radicals are equal, we focus on the wrong targets. Radical Islam is rising and we do not even need to look to find them, they appear! One of the most radical movements of the Islamic world, Hizb ut-Tahrir has just moved openly in Canada. This movement is a kind of conduit for organizations like al Qaeda. He plays the role of agency recruitment and training for organizations Terros which themselves apply jihad in its most violent and also seeks, among other things, terrorism to advance the cause. For decades the Hizb ut-Tahrir acted secretly in the United States, organizing meetings and conferences under the name of organizations-screens. But things have changed. He became more rebellious and do more cache to spread its ideas in North America.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international movement which has the goal of restoring an Islamic state or caliphate-world - which encourages Muslims to support jihad. Its particularity is to provide resources to terrorism. The movement recruited and indoctrinated individuals unstable then we find in organizations 'act' like al-Qaida. One of these former members is Kahlid Sheikh Mohammad, an organizer of the attacks of September 11. There was also Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Hambali, head of Jemaa Islamiya terrorist group and Asif Muhammad Hanif and Omar Khan Sharif recruited by Hamas to carry out attacks in Tel Aviv.

Hizb ut-Tahrir was founded in 1952 by Sheikh Yaqiuddin Al-Nabhan, a man whose worldview was shaped by the Muslim Brotherhood, but found that the Brotherhood had become too moderate! After participating in the coup that failed in Egypt and Jordan, the Hizb ut-Tahrir was considered so radical it was banned throughout the Middle East. He then moved to Europe and after the fall of communism, it has spread in Central Asia.

It is difficult to estimate the number of its members. He certainly has grown since the attacks of September 11, said Madeleine Gruen, a principal analyst for the NEFA Foundation. In 2003 it was estimated that the movement had ten to one hundred thousand members worldwide. Today, this movement, active in forty countries, nearly one hundred thousand members not only in Indonesia and "several hundreds of thousands" in the world, according to Mrs. Gruen.

In the U.S., Hizb ut-Tahrir were hundreds of members. His ideology is a mixture of orthodox Islam, Marxism-Leninism, anti-Semitism and opposition to liberal democracies. Even if it arises in non-violent movement, the Hizb ut-Tahrir advocates, "the same vision and goals that al-Qaida," according to experts like Madeleine Gruen observes that the Hizb ut-Tahrir expands recruitment activities on a much broader basis.

Even if he does not organize terrorist acts, Hizb ut-Tahrir glorifies jihad and accuses of terrorist organizations like Hamas do not be so hard on Israel. In a brochure posted on its website July 1, the organization said that if the caliphate there, all of Palestine "would be cleared of occupants Jews" and brought "into the fold of the Islamic state."

HTA is also obsessed with the alleged nefarious U.S., President Obama and the capitalist system. This can be seen casting a glance at the titles of articles posted on its website.

The spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir emphasize that their organization is not engaged in terrorist activities and affirmed that the United States and Paskistan want to delete because they fear his fight for justice for Muslims .

Bullshit meet the criticisms. "Freedom and justice sought by hypertension can be achieved by violence, as it is to overthrow democracies." This was particularly backed the director of Center for Eurasian Policy Hudson Institute. Zeyno Baran.

Testifying before a Senate committee, Baran said: "It is unlikely that the Hisz ut-Tahrir is involved in terrorism. The terrorist action is not part of its mission. But this movement serves as training camps ideological and political Islamists. I have described as "a conveyor belt to terrorism".

Pakistan: The Taliban are running a couple in front of the camera, by Francis Chartrand

Telegraph: The execution of a couple accused of adultery by the Taliban is filmed

They had a sordid death, riddled with bullets by the Taliban in a field near their home, their execution was filmed with a mobile phone.

In these images that the Pakistanis have watched with horror, the couple tried to escape after he realized what was about to happen. But a gunman slaughters nonchalantly man and woman in a burst of gunfire in the back, leaving them bloody in the dust.

Moments later, when individuals present at the execution shout they are still alive, the gunman returned and complete coldly by other bursts.

Their "crime" was an alleged liaison in their remote village in the mountains controlled by militants in a region that until recently was under government control. Such barbarism has increased across Pakistan with the rise of the Taliban.

But now that the men in black turbans are almost on the outskirts of Islamabad, the images showed few Pakistanis living in cities which could now expect.

Admiral Mike Mullen, Chief of the major arms of the United States, warned that Islamic extremists could take over the country.

In recent days, the images were circulated among the Pakistanis, who normally showed little interest in the brutal practices of the remote border regions.

They are now beginning to wake up to the fear that rebels in those regions that are linked to Al-Qaeda could take control of their nation.

The execution occurred in the district of Hangu, in the province of North West Frontier (PFNO), about two hours drive from Peshawar, the regional capital. The couple was executed by a local group of Pakistani Taliban, the Islamic militia that swept the PFNO in its march towards the capital Islamabad.

"The Taliban are strong and confident, the government is weak and hesitant," said Pervez Hoodbhoy, a professor at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad and one of the leading intellectuals of Pakistan.

"A victory for the Taliban reduce our women to slavery, destroy the rich historical and cultural heritage of Pakistan, will make education and science impossible, and the lives of citizens will be incredibly difficult. Some are already planning an exodus. "

Pakistan is now on the verge of the abyss and risk anarchy. The agreement signed with the desperate Taliban in Swat appears near collapse. The result will almost certainly be violence. Saturday morning, an army convoy en route to Swat was arrested by the Taliban and forced to turn in an open demonstration of their power.

The peace agreement appears to have only emboldened them. Many people think that a bloody military operation now seems inevitable.

Those living in the regions fell into the hands of the Taliban are terrified by the cruelty of their administration.

A text message sent SOS Friday terrified by a resident of a region called Swat Bahrain, said that the Taliban have established full control. Asking not to be named for fear of reprisals, he said they have set up checkpoints at the entrance to Bahrain where they kidnap who they want, including young women.

"They even warned the schools to close classes for girls, otherwise the consequences would be terrible. But the government says it has jurisdiction over Swat.

Another resident of Swat, said: "Every day I see armed Taliban movement. At the time of prayer, if they see someone in his shop or walking on the street, they strike with a stick."

The Pakistani Taliban, clones of the extremist movement in Afghanistan, has long controlled the tribal region along the Afghan border, a haven for militants, including al Qaeda. But it is progressing towards the center of the country which has shocked ordinary Pakistanis and the world. And the threat comes not only from the Taliban to the west. Islamic extremists, who are not part of the Taliban movement, are already firmly established in Islamabad and across the Punjab, the most populous province, apparently ready to show their time.

Islamabad's defenses were fortified emergency and paramilitary troops have been stationed on the Margalla hills overlooking the city from the west. In the capital, the radical Red Mosque has thousands of followers, and there are now open calls for Islamic revolution in Friday sermons.

"The Taliban will not stop in Swat. They will go to Islamabad," said Hasan Askari Rizvi, a military analyst based in Lahore. "If the army is taking action against them, it will be a bloody battle. And the civilian government will be aside."

"Extremist groups based in Islamabad will emerge from the inside and they (the Taliban) will increase the pressure from outside."

The video Pakistanis watching their shows what they can expect. A local journalist was invited to attend the execution, and he filmed with his mobile phone to the Pakistani channel Dawn News. The Sunday Telegraph shows the sequence to the West for the first time.

The two victims are not named.

"The use of media is part of their (the Taliban) psychological warfare," said Imtiaz Gul, president of the Center for Research and Security Studies, an independent think tank in Islamabad. "In this way, they spread fear in the minds of those who would oppose them, reducing the majority of people to silence."

After the couple was killed, families were told to remove the body for burial. The punishment was administered by a local group linked to Pakistani Taliban warlord Baitullah Mehsud.

Pakistan - The Taliban forbid men to shave their beards and women to go out without male chaperon, by Francis Chartrand

ITN, April 11, Khar / PESHAWAR: The Taliban announced Friday the implementation of Sharia in Bajaur and forbids women to go out without a male relative and men to shave the beard. They also warned the public not to rely on the Program Benazir income support (BISp).

The announcement was made by Maulvi Faqir Mohammad, the Taliban leader in Bajaur, in his 40-minute broadcast by the radio station FM illegal group. Faqir, who is deputy chief of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) headed by Baitullah Mehsud, is aimed at members of the tribe on the FM radio on weekly basis. He said that he and his men will make every effort to strictly enforce Islamic law in the region.

The Taliban have established a force called "Task Force" to ensure compliance with the Shariah and to punish offenders. Faqir warned that shaving the beard and made to walk without head covering were the customs of the Jews and their followers that it would not in Bajaur.

Those who listened to his speech on the radio told The News by telephone that the tone of the commander was aggressive and he had given instructions to his Task Force to take immediate action against men who shave the beard.

Faqir said he would not allow the use of BISp and "deceive" the single women of the tribal region. He said that the task of preparing the list of people supporting BISp and other NGOs had already been initiated. Faqir said that the Task Force will soon lead them to a Shariah court. It also forbids women to leave their homes and to acquire a National Identity cards (CNIC), which is required to obtain financial benefits from the BISp.

The commander said that those found guilty of supporting BISp or to obtain monetary benefits will be punished according to sharia, which imposes a minimum fine of Rs 10,000.

He admitted that the Taliban had arrested more than a dozen people who belong to the JUI-F Maulana Fazlur Rahman and the PPP, which will be treated in accordance with sharia. Meanwhile, unknown assailants have beheaded the leader of the ANP and chairman of the local merchants, Mohammad Islam Khan, near his home in the subdivision of Nawagai.

The Taliban who kidnapped a Canadian pro-jihad in Vancouver say they will run Sunday, by Marie-Êve Marineau

The Taliban militants holding the Canadian Khadija Abdul Qahaar in the tribal region of North Waziristan have distributed a flyer on Friday in which they threaten to kill them if ransom is not met tomorrow (Sunday).

The militants had given until March 31 for payment of a tell than 2 million. They then extended the deadline until April 3. Now they warn that the new deadline of April 5 is final.

"We ask once again to the Governments of Pakistan and Canada to accept our demands by April 5, otherwise we will kill Khadija Abdul Qahaar because it is not a journalist. She came to Pakistan on a mission of spying for the Canadian government.

Under Islamic law, the penalty is death. So far, not a single official of Pakistan or Canada we have not approache. On 5 April is the deadline, "says the flyer made available to The News.

Taliban threaten to behead Canadian hostage, by Noémie Cournoyer

BANNU, PAKISTAN and TORONTO — A Canadian held hostage after she travelled to the lawless tribal belt of northern Pakistan says the Taliban will behead her by the end of the month if a ransom isn't paid.

In a new video provided to The Globe and Mail, Beverly Giesbrecht expresses fear for her life if her captors aren't paid.

“I have been advised and asked to make this video. We have very short time now and I am going to be killed, as you can see,” she says, gesturing at the dagger on the wall behind her, pointed at her head.

She alluded to Piotr Stanczak, a kidnapped Polish engineer who was executed by militants last month, the first killing of a Western hostage in Pakistan since U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.

“I am going to be beheaded just like the Polish engineer, probably by the end of the month. The deadline is by the end of March, and that's basically, I don't know, 18 days or 16 days,” she says, closing her eyes.

“I'm not quite sure how long that is but the time is very short and my life is going to end,” she adds in a choked voice.

In the short video, Ms. Giesbrecht, 52, wearing a head scarf and sitting on a wooden chair, says that she is being held by the Taliban “near the Afghan border, either Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

The video opens with a voice reciting from the Koran. Abu Jindal, a moniker adopted by some jihadis, appears in Arabic and Urdu, superimposed over Ms. Giesbrecht's face.

Ms. Giesbrecht, who is also known as Khadija Abdul Qahaar, has been a captive for four months.

The West Vancouver resident converted to Islam after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and runs a website, Jihad Unspun, that says it provides information “devoid of the constraints of mainstream media.” Her visa application to Pakistan said she was a freelance journalist working on a documentary for the Al-Jazeera television network.

She was captured by gunmen last November, reportedly by the Taliban commander Gul Bahadur, who leads fighters in the volatile North Waziristan region.

“I need some kind, someone to help me, the Pakistani government and my own country and somebody must move now, because my life is going to be over. I want to go home. So, these people are serious. Please help me,” a wavering Ms. Giesbrecht says in her latest video.
North Waziristan residents said the Taliban kidnapped her because they are struggling financially.

“They are in dire need of money. We are sure she will be released as they get the ransom. The demand of the money should be accepted and it is not an expensive deal to save her life,” said Muhammad Noor, sitting in a medical store in North Waziristan's Miranshah hamlet.

Though the involvement of local residents could help secure her release, common people and tribal elders in the embattled zone do not dare approach the Taliban. In the last year, decapitations of locals accused of being “spies for U.S. forces” have surged.

Earlier this month, a Taliban fighter who would identify himself only by the name Qari told The Globe and Mail that the Taliban would free Ms. Giesbrecht for $375, 000 (U.S.).

Initial reports had the Taliban asking for cash and a prisoner exchange. But Qari had said money alone could now secure her release.

The Canadian government is aware of the latest video but has no other comments, Lisa Monette, a spokeswoman for the Department of Foreign Affairs, said yesterday.

Glen Cooper, a long-time friend of Ms. Giesbrecht, saw part of the video yesterday and worries about her health.

“My impression is that she's exhausted, tired and frightened. She was in poor health before this incident, and her pale complexion only confirms to me that the Taliban are holding a very fragile woman.”

In a previous video last month, Ms. Giesbrecht said her health was failing. “I am very sick,” she said. “I need a hospital right away. I'm missing teeth. I have pneumonia and I need this [release] to happen quickly.”

Ms. Giesbrecht was seized at gunpoint while travelling in the Bannu district, a gateway to the North Waziristan tribal belt.

Pakistan - (video) A 17-year-old whipped in public in Swat, which is governed by the sharia, by Marie-Êve Marineau

The blurred images appear to show a girl aged 17 being beaten by radical Islamists in the Swat region of northwest Pakistan where Sharia has been introduced after the conclusion of a truce with the Taliban in February.

A local commander of the Taliban in Matta, a militant stronghold 25 miles from the regional capital, Mingora, ordered that the girl was whipped a week ago after being accused of adultery, according to local reporters.

But some residents of Matta have accused the commander had ordered that the girl was beaten to avenge she refused his proposal of marriage, told reporters at the Times.

"Please! Enough! Enough!" implored the girl in Pashtu, the language of the tribes that dominate the north-west Pakistan, now the main hub of Taliban and al Qaeda.

At another point, she exclaimed: "I repent, my father repents, what I did, my grandmother repent for what I did ... "

The man who insults the flagellum his colleague who is struggling to control the girl and to prevent him from protecting his back with his hands.

We hear: "You must keep it tight so it does not move."

The President Zardari stressed that the truce was signed with "moderate"....

Pakistan - How the police took them to disperse ... lawyers!

Pakistani police used their batons to disperse lawyers during altercations in Lahore, Pakistan, Sunday March 15 2009. The leader of the opposition in Pakistan has defied the order of house arrest to join a demonstration against the government which quickly degenerated into violence and chaos, with scuffles between police and demonstrators who were throwing stones (AP Photo / Khalid Tanveer)

The revolutionary small burps that each year in Montreal participated in events sterile against police brutality should go see what is happening elsewhere, history to open their horizons and put things in perspective.

Tarek Fatah . Severing the hand of friendship

The mayhem in Mumbai had barely subsided when I received the first e-mail suggesting the terrorist attacks had been carried out by agents of Mossad -- Israel's military intelligence -- masquerading as Islamic terrorists to give Muslims a bad name.

A writer from Toronto forwarded a news item claiming, "India's Internal Security Police are now holding and questioning an identified Israeli Mossad agent, who had been in communication with some of the alleged terrorists in India two weeks before the BLACK OP attacks took place."

As ridiculous as this may sound, chances are countless Muslims are deluding themselves into believing that it is not their co-religionists who are responsible for the savagery let loose on India, but some hidden hand that is part of a U.S.-Zionist conspiracy against Islam. If at all there was an intelligence agency whose finger prints can be spotted all over the crime scene, it appears to be Islamist rogue elements from the Pakistan ISI, hell-bent on disrupting a marked improvement in India's relations with neighbouring Pakistan.

For two decades, the Pakistan Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) has been the de-facto government in Pakistan, toppling regimes, aiding the Taliban, giving cover to al-Qaeda fugitives, and running a business empire worth billions of dollars.

In July, the new democratically elected government in Islamabad led by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani attempted to bring the ISI under civilian control, but under threat of a military coup, had to perform a humiliating about-face within 24 hours.

Then last Sunday, Pakistan's foreign minister announced the political wing of the ISI, responsible for rigging elections and blackmailing politicians, had been disbanded, saying, "The ISI is a precious national institution and wants to focus on counterterrorism activities." It seems the foreign minister had spoken too soon. Within hours, BBC reported an unnamed senior security official had contradicted the foreign minister's statement.

While the tussle between the ISI and ruling Pakistan Peoples Party for control of the country's intelligence network was going on behind the scenes, the President of Pakistan, Asif Zardari, threw a bombshell that caught the Pakistan military establishment off guard. Speaking to an Indian TV audience via a TV satellite link this week, President Zardari announced a strategic shift in Pakistan's nuclear policy. He startled a cheering Indian audience by saying that Pakistan had adopted a "no first strike" nuclear war policy.

This apparently did not go down well within Pakistan's military establishment that has ruled the country for decades using the "Indian bogey" to starve the nation of much needed development investment to put the huge military machine on a permanent war footing with no war in sight.

Immediately military commentators denounced Mr. Zardari, with one saying that he believed the president was "not fully informed or completely aware of" Pakistan's policy on the issue.

To further alarm Pakistan's own military-industrial complex, Mr. Zardari borrowed a quote from his late wife, who once said that there's a "little bit of India in every Pakistani and a little bit of Pakistan" in every Indian.

While most Pakistanis welcomed the new air of peace and friendship, the country's religious right was upset.

The founder of one of Pakistan's most feared armed Islamist groups had accused President Zardari of being too dovish toward India, and criticized him for referring to militants in Indian-held Kashmir as "terrorists." Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a major militant group fighting in Indian Kashmir, described Mr. Zardari's comments as "a clear violation and digression from the consistent policy of Pakistan."

Then Wednesday, the so-called Deccan Mujahideen struck against India with the clear aim of triggering a Hindu backlash against the country's minority Muslims, with the obvious danger to Pakistan-India relations. Most security commentators agree the Deccan Mujahideen is merely a tag of convenience and behind this well-planned terror attack lies the secret hand of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Only time will tell whether these Islamists succeed or whether the good people of India -- Hindus and Muslims -- can see through this provocation and embrace the hand of friendship extended by President Zardari.

In the meantime, Muslims around the world will also have to decide whether to enter the 21st century and distance themselves from the doctrine of armed Jihad, or go back to the 12th century and embrace these haters of joy and peace.

Great Britain - A British preacher glorifying terrorists in Mumbai, which "avenging the Crusades against Islam", by Iba Bouramine

London, Nov 28 (ANI): Yesterday evening, the preacher of hate British anjema Choudary has glorified the terrorists who killed 127 people in Mumbai.

In a declaration abhorrent, Choudary, quoted by the Daily Star, said that Britons who were killed had themselves to blame for being on the battlefield of the war that engaged the Muslims the world .
The extremist Choudary, 41 years, said that the attacks were revenge for the crusades of the West against Islam. The attacks bear the hallmark of a carefully planned operation by al-Qaeda as part of jihad against the Crusaders. I would not be surprised that they broadcast a video soon, he added.
